I find it incredible that DOCTOR WHO has had such a massive resurgence over the last decade.
I guess once they decided to actually put some money into the show the compelling concepts of the series were finally able to be matched by decent production values.

Did you ever watch COMMUNITY, J.R.?
They had a running gag of a DOCTOR WHO parody show called INSPECTOR SPACETIME. You could argue that they kid of ran the joke into the ground after a while (even setting a whole episode at an INSPECTOR SPACETIME convention) but it was pretty funny for people familiar with old school DOCTOR WHO.

No, that’s PARKS AND RECREATION.
The first two seasons of COMMUNITY are perfection. The best geek-friendly comedy on TV. S3 is good, S4 abysmal and S5 and 6 are pretty solid.
But get the first season and see if you did it. I don’t recall exaclty when INSPECTOR SPACETIME comes into it. Maybe season three. There’s a pretty funny wiki page about it, though.
